Interests Filters¶
Overview¶
The Interests filters displays controls that enable you to specify filters based on App Categories, Yahoo Interest Categories, and Auto categories.

Interests filters enables you to identify audiences based on behaviors that indicate an interest in mobile apps, automobiles, or a variety of special interests as identified by Yahoo Interest Categories.
The Audience Insights UI displays three Interests filters:

| App Categories | The App Categories filter enables you to identify audiences based on their interest in mobile apps. The App Categories drop-down list displays modules based on the App Categories category. |
| Yahoo Interest Categories | The Yahoo Interest Categories filter enables you to identify audiences by Yahoo Interest Categories segments. |
| Auto | The Auto filter enables you to identify audiences based on their interest in autos. The Auto filter enables you to identify automobile-based segments by auto make or auto style. |
You may specify multiple criteria in each interest filter or combine criteria specified in different filters to expand or hone filtering criteria.
Keep in mind that parameters are inclusive (logical OR) if they are specified within a single filter and restrictive (logical AND) if specified across multiple filters. To learn more, see Filtering Logic.
App Categories Filters¶
The App Categories filter enables you to identify audiences based on their interest in different types of mobile apps.
The App Categories drop-down list displays App Category groups. Each group represents a specific type of app.

Yahoo Interest Category Filters¶
A Yahoo Interest Category is a segment that represents user behavior across desktop and mobile devices.
Yahoo Interest Category segments are based on data collected from search queries, search clicks, page clicks, and desktop ad clicks. To learn more about the sources of Yahoo Interest Category performance data, see data-yahoo-interest-category.
Yahoo Interest Categories include the following categories of interest:

Auto Filters¶
Auto filters enable you to specify ad-hoc audiences based on their interest in automobiles.
You may filter consumers based on their interest in automobiles based on Auto Make or Auto Style.

| Auto Style | Auto Style filters enable you to define audiences based on their interest in styles of automobiles. |
